Challenge: A client had a challenging and urgent immigration case involving a senior executive; due to several factors, it required an accelerated process.
Solution: Before outsourcing immigration to MSI, the client had performed this function internally. Once involved, we immediately engaged with the client’s senior HR director and our in-country partner, meeting daily to address data and document requirements. This daily commitment enabled expedited submission of the application to immigration authorities. Working in partnership with the client and our in-country partner, we demonstrated the flexibility of our processes and workflows and their applicability to any situation.
Measurement/Result: Although the host country did not offer a fast track approval process, we saved considerable time by working closely with everyone involved daily, offering a strong partnership and expert ownership of process. This resulted in a one-month turnaround time on the work permit from submission and a very satisfied client.
Challenge: A client was providing immigration services for 200+ assignees internally, giving autonomy to local HR managers. There was no provision for global and/or regional reporting on activity, status, or spend.
Solution: Concerned about the level of compliance with an immigration policy that utilized randomly selected local vendors, MSI created an alternative plan. We presented it, along with our team’s credentials, in tandem with the client’s HR VP at their global HR summit.
Measurement/Results: MSI’s recommended program was favorably received by HR worldwide, resulting in a standardized immigration program and approximately 28% cost savings.
